Want to help out?
It takes a lot of hands to make Gosh Darn happen. Thank you for offering your time to volunteer at the Hoot ‘n’ Holler! We appreciate it and wouldn’t be able to do this without your help. The button below will take you to the volunteer sign up page on Movemint. There you’ll be able to pick your preferred timeslot and tasks. If you would like to volunteer and ride in the event, we will do our best to accommodate you, but we may not be able to do so.
We don’t expect everyone to be available for the entire day, as we want you to be able to spend time connecting with the Gosh Darn community!
Tasks range from greeters, registration, bonfire keepers, and aid station volunteers.
Volunteers will receive:
- An Event T-Shirt.
- Post Ride Meal.
- Access to pre and post-ride parties.
- Free entry to next year’s Hoot ‘n’ Holler! (Non-transferable)
How can I help out?
Rider Check-In/Packet Pick-up
Friday Evening and Saturday Morning
Rider Check-In volunteers welcome riders, distribute rider packets, and distribute additional pre-purchased merchandise. This role is best for someone who is detail oriented and can keep a friendly demeanor during high volume queues during peak hours.
Resupply/Aid Station
Saturday Morning and Afternoon
Aid station volunteers provide essential on-course support such as water, fuel, and good vibes! Key tasks include setting up or breaking down tents/tables/supplies, managing trash, and providing basic first-aid support. This role requires the ability to lift heavy items and a vehicle that can carry large items. You will be paired with another volunteer, so this role is ideal if you and a friend want to volunteer together. Please note if you DO NOT have access to a vehicle, and we will do our best to pair you with a volunteer who does.
SAG Support
Saturday Afternoon
SAG volunteers are crucial for grassroot events like the Gosh Darn Hoot ‘n’ Holler! Volunteers will drive designated routes, provide transportation for tired or injured riders and their bikes, and communicate consistently with the event coordinators. This role REQUIRES a reliable vehicle that can clear rugged gravel, can carry both riders and their bikes, and knowledge of how to navigate areas via maps when GPS signal is low.
Porter/Runner
Saturday Afternoon
Porters and Runners are a huge help in keeping the party going and helping the behind-the-scenes stuff stay out of view. Porters are the jack-of-all-trades, if you can carry heavy stuff, like to be on the move, and get your hands dirty – this role is for you.
